The VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the night shift at the West Los Angeles Community Living Center 213-2. You will work with licensed nursing staff to provide preventive, acute, sub-acute, chronic, maintenance, and hospice care to Veterans with complex and varying healthcare needs.

Applicants with pending education or certification requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• One year of coursework related to Nursing Assistant or completion of a related occupation course (less than 1 year) may meet experience.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required for direct patient care positions.

Responsabilités

• Assist licensed nursing staff in patient care across settings (preventive, acute, sub-acute, chronic, maintenance, hospice).
• Support Veterans with complex and varying healthcare needs as part of the nursing care team.
• Observe patients and communicate changes in status to supervisors; use equipment and supplies as directed.
