Job summary

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, BLS within 14 days of hire, and cross-training across hospital services. CNA/PCT certification or nursing school enrollment is preferred, with 2+ years in acute or long-term care valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Cross trained to cover more than one hospital service.
• CNA/PCT certification or nursing school enrollment preferred.
• Minimum two years acute or long-term care experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Observe patients and report progress to RN.
• Record vital signs and collect specimens.
• Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
• Record intake/output, assist with ROM, and blood draws.
