Job summary

Ardent Health is seeking a full-time Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Patient Care Technician (PCT) for night shift in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves basic patient care under nursing and medical staff guidance, assisting with ADLs, and monitoring vitals.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, and a BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Phlebotomy experience and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred, with a path toward CNA/PCT certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy experience or completion of a Phlebotomy course.
• 1 year of experience in acute or long-term care.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Working towards CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification.

Responsibilities

• Works in an entry-level position providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
• Observes patients’ progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
• Obtains and records patients' vital signs and collects specimens for lab tests.
• Provides basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
