Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in NP to diagnose, treat and prescribe within specialty area.
• National Board Certification in Advanced Practice Nursing required for NPs hired after 2019.
• Credentialing through Medical Board with Delineation of Privileges.
• DEA certificate and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NALS, NRP certificates as required by specialty.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status of patients/families via history and physical examination.
• Initiate and order therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consults and labs.
• Prescribe medications and adjust plans per standards of care.
• Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention and management.
• Document findings and plan in medical records.
• Consult with physicians according to policies and protocols.
