Job summary

Montefiore Wakefield Campus invites qualified Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to join the newborn services team. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans for high-risk neonates in a level 3 NICU, with duties spanning assessment, orders, and family communication.

Requirements include a Master's in Nursing, NY NP license, DEA registration, BLS, and NRP; 3 years of neonatal experience preferred. Schedule includes nights and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Current NY Registered Nurse and NP licenses; DEA registration required.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• 3 years neonatal clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement the therapeutic plan for a group of patients.
• Provide consultation about the treatment regimen to nursing staff responsible for patient care.
• Ensure continuity of care across the continuum, including home care and follow-up appointments.
• Perform health history, physical exams, and psychosocial assessments in newborn nursery and NICU.
• Order labs and diagnostics per protocols and manage abnormal findings with attending physicians.
