Required ARRT certification and BLS. Preferred: 1 year of experience and MRI safety/specialty training; MRI certification within 1.5 years is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient care.
• Performs examinations.
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional.
• Ensures patient safety and emergency preparedness.
• Documents patient information.
• Ensures proper film identification on all images.
• Accurately completes computer functions-edits, status changes, logging.
• Accurate film marking and jacket preparation.
• Achieves quality diagnostic images by proper positioning and equipment operation.
• Performs training and education duties.
• Participates in the orientation of new employees.
• Responsible for training of students.
• Participates in training of health care professionals and new employees.
