Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform magnetic resonance imaging in the Radiology department, adhering to standards and organizational policies. The role focuses on patient safety, image quality, and efficient imaging workflow.

The successful candidate will review histories, educate patients, manage contrast administration within scope, and ensure equipment reliability through routine QC.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist must be registered or registry eligible in MRI with certification completed within 12 months.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross, valid through sixty days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history, schedule appointments, and educate patients about procedures to ensure cooperation.
• Prepare and administer contrast media or medications within scope, monitor patient condition, and respond to changes.
• Set up equipment, choose imaging parameters, ensure safety, and perform quality control on MRI devices.
• Position patients, conduct imaging procedures, analyze results, address image quality issues, and report scan findings.
• Operate independently with critical thinking, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
