Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. seeks a Maintenance of Traffic Foreman (Night Shift) to supervise and manage traffic on construction sites. You will install and maintain traffic control devices and ensure safe, efficient movement per project plans.

Responsibilities include coordinating with owners and engineers, planning daily traffic control, supervising crews of traffic technicians, and ensuring compliance with Miss Utility and safety regulations. 50+ hours weekly; on-call for delays and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must have DOT traffic control certification.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 5 years of experience planning, organizing and supervising all equipment and materials needed to set-up, take down, maintain traffic control, and handle traffic-related situations.
• Working knowledge of standards, specifications, codes, regulations and laws.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet Branch Group Fleet Policy requirements and maintain “Approved Driver” status.
• Must have excellent communications skills.
• Ability to use good judgement with the ability to be an effective decision maker.
• Must have the ability to get job done with minimal supervision, on time, within budget or better.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and maintains traffic within project limits for the construction period.
• Furnishes, installs, and maintains traffic control devices.
• Ensures safe and expeditious movement of traffic as per plans.
• Preplans and schedules traffic control on a daily basis.
• Plans, organizes and supervises equipment and materials for setup and takedown.
• Supervises traffic technicians; assigns projects and monitors activity.
• Ensures storage and maintenance of materials and rented equipment.
