Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Mixed Acuity Unit. The role covers a wide patient age range and requires 12-hour night shifts, with every third weekend, totaling about 36 hours per week.

The RN will deliver care using the Nursing Process, participate in governance and apply clinical judgment within Kentucky Nursing Laws and Baptist Health policies. A sign-on bonus is eligible for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky nursing license required.
• BCLS required within 90 days of employment.
• ACLS required within six months for experienced staff and within one year for new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment/reassessment
• Develops plan of care utilizing appropriate evidence based standards of care.
• Provides care consistent with policies, procedures, current evidence based professional standards of practice and Baptist Health Louisville's nursing mission, vision, values and model of care.
• Evaluates patient response to treatment
• Applies critical thinking, clinical reasoning, organizational and leadership skills.
