Job summary

Jefferson Health seeks a professional nurse dedicated to patient- and family-centered care. The nurse will apply the nursing process to develop individualized care plans aligned with patients' cultural beliefs and values.

Responsibilities include implementing evidence-based care, collaborating with an inter-professional team, and contributing to safety and quality improvement initiatives, with opportunities for teaching and mentoring within the unit.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Knowledge of patient-and family-centered practice and cultural awareness.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families and to delegate appropriately.
• Knowledge of health information documentation and clinical documentation practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
• RN license active in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients, families, and staff following Jefferson Health values and evidence-based practices.
• Identifies learning needs with patients and families and provides education.
• Uses information technology to communicate, document, and monitor care outcomes.
• Works within nursing and inter-professional teams to ensure safe, compassionate care.
