Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a Night Shift Medical Laboratory Technician in Scottsdale for Microbiology. The role performs complex tests on blood, body fluids and tissues and prepares specimens for analysis, ensuring accuracy and timely results.

Sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 is available. Associate degree in MLS/MLT is required or equivalent training; 1 year hospital lab experience preferred; certification as MLT encouraged.

Qualifications

• Associates in chemical, physical or biological science or MLS/MLT training.
• 1 year hospital laboratory experience preferred.
• MLT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex laboratory tests on blood, body fluids, cells and tissues.
• Identify bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms; cross match blood for transfusion.
• Prepare specimens and operate laboratory instrumentation with quality controls.
• Maintain documentation and comply with safety, regulatory and accrediting requirements.
