Job summary

ITW ShineMark in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a Metallizer – Machine Operator for the 10pm–6am shift. You will read schedules, start/stop the machine, thread film, and adjust speeds to meet specifications while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires basic machining skills, the ability to inspect products, and willingness to work overtime including weekends. Training provided for 5S and cross-training across teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Manufacturing experience or mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Ability to read schedules and operate a control panel.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules to determine timing for changeovers.
• Start/stop machine using control panel.
• Align or fasten machine parts with hand tools.
• Thread or feed film through rollers and adjust speeds.
• Monitor for defects and adjust wire feed/speed as needed.
• Set up and operate equipment to imprint metallization on film.
• Inspect products, perform quality tests and decide pass/fail.
• Clean machine and parts between runs and handle materials.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Print production run sheets and labels, perform QA testing.
