Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prefer a minimum of two years of college in psychology, social work, mental health, and related fields.
• Experience with emotionally disturbed individuals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows instructions from nursing leadership and hospital policies.
• Reports patient medical problems to the Registered Nurse.
• Monitors for alterations in sensory perceptual images and de-escalates potential aggression.
• Provides care that ensures safety, comfort and a therapeutic environment.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers and completes documentation.
