Job summary

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital in Conway, SC is seeking a full-time Mental Health Technician to support a therapeutic milieu, supervise patients, document behavior, and collaborate with the treatment team to implement treatment plans.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred), CPI certification, at least 1 year of related experience, a valid driver's license, and completion of a 5-day hospital orientation. Shifts are 12 hours (7pm–7am) with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year related experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CPI Certified.
• Must complete (5) day Hospital Orientation.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to work, meals, recreation, and education activities; supervise as needed.
• Transport patients to medical appointments and other activities; maintain safety and security.
• De-escalate aggression and provide crisis intervention using counseling skills.
• Assess patient needs for clothing, linens, and personal hygiene supplies; supervise tasks.
