Job summary

Telecare Corporation seeks a Mental Health Worker for Part Time, NOC shifts (11:00 PM – 7:30 AM) at Villa Fairmont MHRC in San Leandro, CA. The role provides direct and indirect care to adults with serious mental illness and requires CNA certification or equivalent.

Starting wage is $23.00 per hour. The position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with geographic pay differentials; starting pay is commensurate with experience and union rules.

Qualifications

• One year nursing/psychiatric experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic psychiatric and nursing skills essential.
• CNA certification or equivalent acceptable documentation.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Good communication skills and a desire to work with severely mentally impaired adults.
• Must be 18+ and proficient in reading, speaking and writing English.
• Finger printing and DOJ clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect care to meet physical and psychological needs.
• Document client activities of daily living and responses to interventions.
• Assist with meals, feeding, and vital signs as assigned.
• Attend and participate in group outings and community meetings.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures and ensure safety.

Skills

One year nursing/psychiatric exp
