Job summary

Telecare Corporation seeks a dedicated Mental Health Worker for Villa Fairmont MHRC in the San Leandro area. You will provide direct and indirect care to adults with serious mental illness, support treatment plans, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Full-time PM shifts 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM with weekends required. Starting wage is $23.00 per hour; wage varies by geographic location and union rules.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of experience with nursing and/or psychiatric clients preferred.
• Knowledge of basic psychiatric and nursing skills.
• Certification as a CNA or its equivalent is acceptable documentation of nursing skills knowledge.
• A High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, direct and indirect care per policies.
• Document client activities of daily living, responses to interventions, and behavior changes.
• Assist in admissions and discharges, completing related documentation.
• Obtain client vital signs and weights as assigned.
• Assist clients at mealtimes and monitor during rounds and breaks.
• Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Participate in group outings and therapy sessions.
• Support teamwork and communication within the treatment team.
