Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medication Technician certification is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents following physician orders and facility policies.
• Follow the five rights of medication administration: right patient, right drug, right dose, right route, right time.
• Document medication administration accurately in the EHR system.
• Monitor residents for adverse reactions and report to the supervising nurse or physician.
• Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to ensure coordinated and safe resident care.
