Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to document, deliver, and administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians, while delivering superior service and adhering to all regulatory guidelines.

The role requires assisting residents with daily medications and activities, coordinating with pharmacies and physicians, and maintaining accurate medication records. Candidates should be 18+, possess a high school diploma, and be committed to HIPAA and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Experience handling medications preferred but on the job training available.
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Must meet and maintain all state specific regulatory requirements.
• HIPAA compliance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily medications and care per policies and regulations.
• Observe, verify and document medication ingestion or application.
• Coordinate medication services with pharmacy and physician; verify dosages.
• Maintain confidential medication records per procedures.
• Participate in narcotic counts at shift start and end; report discrepancies.
• Assist caregivers and support daily living activities including meals and hygiene.
• Respond promptly to resident alerts and emergencies as needed.
