Job summary

Homewood Living Williamsport is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician / CNA for night shift. The role requires administering medications, assisting with activities of daily living, and following physician orders under licensed supervision.

Qualifications include state certification as a Medication Technician within 120 days, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, English communication skills, and an LNA option. This full-time position offers benefits and opportunities for licensure support.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Medication Technician within 120 days of employment.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 30 pounds during shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn for an eight-hour shift.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform sequential tasks.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• CPR certification and basic First Aid preferred.
• Licensed Nursing Assistant in the state where care is provided a plus.

Responsibilities

• Treat all information about residents, their condition, and family as confidential information.
• Assist with or provide personal hygiene care, including bathing, shaving, changing clothing, nail care, and toilet needs.
• Administer and record medications as ordered by the physician, in accordance with certification regulations.
• Accurately observe, record, and report changes in resident condition or needs to the Head Nurse.
• Actively participate in the planning of resident care.
• Promote activities of daily living according to the resident's service plan.
• Conduct resident lifts and transfers according to the service plan and the Lift Free Program.
• Prepare and administer medications, recording administration in the medical record, and monitor changes in condition related to medication administration.
• Perform other functions as directed by the supervisor.
