Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist II for the night shift (on-site) in Cobb Hospital. The role requires at least 3 years of laboratory experience and certification as MT(ASCP)/MT(AMT)/MT(HEW)/MT(AAB)/MLS(ASCP)/MLS(AMT).

The Med Tech II will perform testing across General Lab, Blood Bank, and Microbiology, maintain equipment and records, and support quality assurance and training activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Certification required: MT(ASCP) / MT(AMT) / MT(HEW) / MT(AAB) / MLS(ASCP) / MLS(AMT).

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical laboratory testing in General Lab, Blood Bank, or Microbiology as per protocols.
• Maintains equipment and records; conducts quality assurance activities.
• Communicates results and collaborates with supervisors and team; may supervise/teach.
• Participates in maintenance and readiness activities for CAP and Joint Commission readiness.
