Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking a Medical Technologist for a regional laboratory network in Florida, including a fully automated core lab and a hospital-based rapid-response lab infrastructure.

Reporting to the laboratory supervisor, you will perform diagnostic testing (STAT) within turnaround targets, run quality controls, and escalate critical values per protocol. This full-time night shift opportunity requires Florida licensure and 1 year of MT experience; Bachelor's in Medical Technology preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (2-year) required; Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist.
• Active Florida Technologist License required; licensure in specialty areas.
• Generalist in Blood Bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, or Microbiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely diagnostic testing (STAT) within turnaround targets.
• Review OSR/pending logs and communicate workload to relief staff.
• Complete required documentation for patient results and maintain QA procedures.
• Manage problem specimens and communicate critical findings per protocol.
