Job summary

HCA Healthcare at Overland Park Regional Medical Center seeks a Medical Technologist to perform complex lab tests across chemistry, hematology, microbiology and more. The role requires night and weekend availability with a 7-on-7-off schedule, and MT/MLS/CLS certifications or grandfathered eligibility under CLIA 88.

Candidates with a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related science are encouraged to apply; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science required OR grandfathered as a Medical Technologist by CLIA 88.
MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), MLS (ASCP) or equivalent certification required OR registry/certification eligible.
Registry/certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
Experience preferred but new grads are considered.
MLTs considered as well; pay range differs and must meet qualifications.
Must have availability for 7-on-7-off schedule and night/weekend availability.

Responsibilities

Perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections.
Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas.
Maintain quality results by running standards/controls, calibrating equipment, verifying function, and monitoring QC measures.
