Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to support our client’s medical facility in Jacksonville, FL 32204. Shift: 3rd shift, 6pm to 6am (12 hours, 3 days). Pay range: $38.65/hr–$41/hr on W2.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, CLS/MT, 2–4 years in clinical lab testing (Blood Bank), ASCP or AMT certification, and the ability to work independently or in a team. LIS familiarity is a plus; color vision screen may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, CLS/MT or equivalent meeting CLIA and state requirements.
• ASCP or AMT certification is required.
• 2–4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience, including Blood Bank.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers; color vision screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Determine acceptability of specimens for testing per SOPs.
• Perform routine and complex procedures in the MLS/clinical lab.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents; report results accurately.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control.
• Identify and replenish bench supplies; assist with specimen processing.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
