Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join a healthcare facility in St Johns, FL. This local contract role offers a 7pm-7am schedule (3x12) and requires Florida licensure with ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification.

A Bachelor’s degree or 42 CFR 493.1433 qualification is required, plus at least 1 year of clinical lab experience. The position involves performing routine to moderately complex analytical testing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance, and

Qualifications

• ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification required.
• Florida license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or related field, or qualification as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for specimen handling, processing, analysis and reporting of patient results.
• Perform analytical testing using approved methods and SOPs.
• Review, validate, and release laboratory test results.
• Maintain records of testing and quality control activities.
• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory standards (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA).
• Report STAT and critical results; document corrective actions for deviations.
• Maintain labeling and tracking of reagents and test kits.
