Job summary

Bishop Gadsden on James Island is seeking dedicated Med Tech/Nursing Assistants for the Memory Care unit on the 11pm-7am shift. The role involves assisting residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities in a caring, faith-based retirement community.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills are necessary for exchanging information and maintaining courteous relationships with residents, families, visitors and Bishop Gadsden staff
• Able to effectively multi-task
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
• Ability to read and comprehend numbers and written material
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Assist with the basic care of assigned group or residents to promote independence
• Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living as needed
• Assist residents and Activity Coordinator during activities
• Assist with dining needs and in-room dining service
• Encourage resident independence and optimal functioning
• Receive and relay resident reports at shift start/end
• Observe changes in resident condition and report to supervisor
• Communicate with the healthcare team to carry out care plans
• Launder and iron residents' personal items as needed
• Adhere to attendance, safety policies, and professional conduct
• Perform responsibilities with respect to Resident's Rights and HIPAA
