Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community on James Island in Charleston, SC seeks a Full-Time Med Tech/Nursing Assistant for memory care, 11pm-7am. You will provide personal care, assist with activities, and support residents’ daily needs in a compassionate, organized manner.

The role emphasizes teamwork with a multidisciplinary staff, adherence to safety and privacy policies, and respect for residents’ rights. A high school diploma and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and courteous conduct.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• Clear English communication, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read and comprehend numbers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic care for assigned residents and promote independence.
• Provide personal care and support with ADLs as needed.
• Support residents during activities with the Activity Coordinator.
• Assist with dining needs and in-room dining service.
• Encourage independence and optimal functioning.
• Record and report resident status during shift handoffs.
• Observe changes in condition and notify supervisor promptly.
• Coordinate with the healthcare team to follow the care plan.
• Launder and care for residents' personal items as needed.
• Adhere to attendance, safety policies, and resident rights.
