Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Mechanical Assembler Level I to join the GIS Production Team on the 3rd shift in Wendell, NC. You will build Low and Medium Voltage electrical distribution equipment such as switchgears, switchboards and breakers.

You will train on the 1st shift before moving to the 3rd shift, with an hourly rate of $19.00 plus a $1.50 shift differential. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and basic English skills to read, write, and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Basic proficiency in English, reading, writing and speaking.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build Low/Medium Voltage equipment including switchgears and breakers.
• Learn torque procedures and apply specified torque values.
• Use measuring tools like tape measures and BOMs.
• Follow layouts and assembly drawings with safety and quality.
• Record job transactions and participate in continuous improvement.
