Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is actively hiring a Manufacturing Technician on Nights in Bowling Green, KY. You will operate equipment, monitor control systems, and perform preventative maintenance in a climate-controlled environment with opportunities for advancement under a 12-hour schedule.

The night shift runs 6:30pm–7:00am with a base pay of $23.11 per hour plus a $2.00 per hour shift differential. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months of machine experience and a high school diploma or GED, plus

Qualifications

• Six months of experience operating and/or maintaining machines or equipment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, or electrical skills in an industrial environment.
• Experience using SAP.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Monitor and/or entry into computer control systems
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
• Perform basic asset care duties to include routine preventive maintenance and cleaning of work area
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve-12 hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment
• Occasionally lifting boxes that weigh 60-80lbs to shoulder height
• Work with changeovers and setting up equipment
