Job summary
Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform, monitor, and improve preventative maintenance on extrusion blow molding and related equipment. This role supports uninterrupted operations and continuous process improvements in a high-speed manufacturing environment in Alsip, IL.
The position offers night shift with a $1 per hour differential, overtime and vacation coverage. You will join a team committed to safety, quality, and cost-effective production, with
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance for extrusion blow molding and support machinery.
- Execute and improve preventative maintenance procedures.
- Participate in changeovers and ensure efficient execution.
- Repair and rebuild spare parts.
- Ensure safety, quality, and operating procedures compliance.
- Expand expertise through formal training and new equipment projects.
