Job summary

Permobil, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Skilled Technician in Belleville for an evening shift (11:00 PM–6:30 AM, Sun–Thu). The role is full-time with possible overtime. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair of ROHO equipment, and maintaining equipment records.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree or 3–5 years related experience, plus forklift, man lift, and a valid driver’s license. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from college or technical school or 3 to 5 years direct related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Forklift; man lift; valid driver’s license.
• Good communication skills; mechanical aptitude; fabrication skills helpful; PLC and HMI skills helpful; good reasoning skills; good problem solving skills.
• Manual dexterity to handle items and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions from complex instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all ROHO equipment by performing preventative maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Ensures operation of machinery by observing performance and addressing any failures; maintains equipment using tools and instruments.
• Maintains equipment database with records of wear, failures, and maintenance actions for predictive maintenance.
• Installs parts and adjusts devices or control instruments as needed.
• Keeps a safe, clean work environment and adheres to safety and quality policies.
