Job summary

Permobil is seeking a Maintenance Skilled Technician for the night shift in Belleville. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, repairing equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of production systems.

Responsibilities include documenting maintenance activities, installing parts, and contributing to continuous improvement. Requires an Associate's Degree or 3–5 years related experience, forklift and lift certifications, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from college or technical school or 3 to 5 years direct related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Forklift; man lift; valid driver’s license.
• Good communication skills; mechanical aptitude; fabrication skills helpful; PLC and HMI skills helpful; good reasoning skills; good problem solving skills.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ROHO equipment by performing preventative maintenance on equipment, inspecting and repairing all equipment, and assisting with any other special projects.
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by observing equipment, repairing and maintaining machinery, and performing preventive maintenance.
• Manage equipment database by maintaining written records and logging work and failures to establish predictive maintenance.
• Adjusts parts of devices and control instruments by installing functional and structural parts on devices or equipment.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by operating machinery safely and reporting hazards.
• Maintains quality service by keeping error rates low, maintaining pace, and meeting performance metrics.
• Contributes to team effort by maintaining good attendance and cross-functional collaboration.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending workshops, seminars, and conferences.
