Job summary

Baldwin Richardson Foods Co. (BRF) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, install, and perform preventive maintenance on packaging and process equipment. This role operates under minimal supervision to keep production safe and efficient.

Our team works a 2-2-3 12-hour schedule, with shift hours from 5:00pm to 5:30am. Candidates should have a high school diploma or technical training, plus 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, preferably with GMP/OSHA/FDA

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; two-year associate degree, licensing, or equivalent trade school training is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of mechanical troubleshooting/repair experience in manufacturing or related fields.
• Experience identifying root-cause issues on mechanical equipment or components.
• Experience in food/pharma manufacturing or GMP/OSHA/FDA standards preferred.
• Proficiency with hand, portable power, and shop tools used in maintenance of equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with packaging equipment (Fillers, Cappers, Case Packers, conveyors) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Follow GMP to support safety programs and policies.
• Complete preventive maintenance on all equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Provide equipment/process expertise to support continuous improvement.
• Mentor operations staff for basic maintenance tasks and cross-training.
• Maintain packaging and process equipment via preventive maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and repair packaging and process equipment including fillers, cappers, case packers, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
