Novant Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for Med/Surg to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to adults with medical and surgical needs. You will work with an interdisciplinary team on night shifts to support positive patient outcomes.

The role requires a Practical Nursing program graduate and an active NC LPN license. CPI certification within 3 months for Behavioral Health, and 3-month training for facility-specific interventions are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of accredited Practical Nursing Program.
• NC LPN license required.
• CPI certification within 3 months for Behavioral Health and facility-specific requirements within 3 months.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to adults with medical/surgical conditions.
• Perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, and monitor progress.
• Administer meds and treatments, monitor changes in condition.
• Prioritize care and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, meds, and discharge plans.
• Promote safety by following policies and evidence-based practices.
