Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit at Hillcrest Hospital in Cleveland, OH. This night shift role focuses on delivering safe, compassionate care to mothers and newborns within a Level III unit.

You will collect data, implement care plans under RN direction, administer medications, run routine labs, and educate patients and families while supporting cord blood collection efforts and cord blood donation discussions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing Program.
• Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Preferred: one year of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect, document and report patient data and observations to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.
• Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
• Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
• Perform routine laboratory tests.
• Educate patients and family members.
