Job summary

The Arkema Group in Alsip, IL is seeking a Logistics Technician to manage filtration, loading, and movement of latex products to tanks or trailers. The role includes receiving and shipping raw materials and reports to the Alsip Production Supervisor.

You will work on 12-hour night shifts from 5:30 pm to 5:30 am, perform daily inventory checks, coordinate with the control room, and uphold safety procedures, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years warehousing or logistics in chemical/manufacturing preferred.
• Able to work with minimal supervision as part of a team.
• Forklift or powered equipment license preferred.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at significant heights.
• Must lift at least 50 pounds and wear a respirator.
• Must be able to enter confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Manage filtration operation for latex products off multiple reactor lines.
• Load latex products into various containers for shipment.
• Follow housekeeping and safety procedures to ensure personal and coworker safety.
• Unload deliveries at the warehouse dock.
• Attend daily meetings and report loading activities and production needs.
• Communicate updates in writing, by telephone or email as needed.
• Perform daily and weekend checklists, including inventory.
• Work with the control room operator to maintain operations.
