Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Minnesota is seeking a Live Receiving associate for night shift duties. You will perform live hang, back up the finishing line to ensure animal welfare standards, and operate a forklift to load/unload drawers of birds from shuttle trucks.

Responsibilities include keeping the area clean, reporting equipment issues promptly, and performing other duties as required. High school diploma preferred; poultry or manufacturing experience a plus. Shift: nights, with benefits after eligibility.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience: Poultry, live animal or manufacturing experience is a plus. Fork lift experience preferred.
• Skills: Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment, have good communication skills, ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense, have strong attention to detail, and must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Live hang.
• Back-up the finishing machine to ensure all birds meet Animal Welfare standards.
• Forklift driver.
• Loading and unloading drawers.
• Safely and efficiently load and unload drawers of birds off the shuttle trucks.
• Keep work area clean and picked up at all times.
• Reports any equipment damage or potential mechanical problems to the supervisor or lead person immediately.
• Other duties as required.
