Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking a Lead/Charge Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee the 4 West Medical Surgical Ortho Unit during night shifts. The CNC ensures high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinates nursing services under the unit's leadership.

The role demands a BSN, active RN license in Florida or multi-state, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years of hospital experience, with leadership preferred. Join a team dedicated to exceptional outcomes and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the practicing state (Compact/Multi-State license accepted).
• Current BLS and ACLS Health Care Provider certifications required.
• At least 2 years of hospital/acute care RN experience; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge for efficient throughput and high-quality care.
• Monitor quality of patient care in collaboration with management.
• Collaborate with experts and managers to foster teamwork and outcomes.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Implement nursing strategies and staff engagement initiatives.
• Participate in interviewing, selection, and training of staff; support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and ensure labor aligns with patient care needs.
• Support inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
