Job summary

HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join the 4 West Medical/Surgical Ortho Nursing Department on the night shift. As a key member of the patient care team, you will assess, plan, implement and coordinate treatment, educate patients and families, and ensure safe, high-quality care while navigating a busy acute-care environment.

This full-time night position offers rotating weekends and holidays, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: ADN or higher.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state or hold an active Compact license.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.
• At least 6 months RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients.
• Manage flow of patient care including prep for exams, admissions, testing and discharges.
• Maintain and review patients’ records and post test results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment plans.
• Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls (triage as needed).
