Job summary

St. Francis–Emory Healthcare in Columbus, GA, is seeking a Lead Medical Technologist for night shift to oversee laboratory testing procedures, ensure quality control, and coordinate workflow.

The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to mentor Medical Lab Technologists and Technicians. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science, with NAACLS accreditation preferred, and ASCP/AAB/AMT MT/MLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field required.
• Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Medical Laboratory Science program preferred.
• Certification as MT/MLS by ASCP/AAB/AMT required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee laboratory testing procedures and workflow in assigned sections.
• Perform complex diagnostic tests in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and blood banking.
• Provide training and mentorship to staff; ensure regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
