Qualifications

• Requires BS in Medical Technology with clinical internship or BS in a related discipline with one year supervised clinical laboratory experience.
• Analytical skills necessary to analyze data and perform mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical laboratory tests in one or more sections under supervision to obtain data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Analyzes and interprets test results and ensures accuracy; repeats abnormal results and notifies appropriate personnel.
• Performs preventive maintenance on schedule and troubleshoots instrument issues as needed.
• Monitors inventory of reagents and supplies and communicates needs to supervisor.
• Follows procedures for QC/QA and documents results and corrective actions.

Education

BS in Medical Technology (with clinical internship)

BS in related discipline with one year supervised clinical laboratory experience
