Job summary

Pride Health is hiring for a Laboratory Support role in Clifton, NJ. The position runs Sunday to Thursday (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) for 3–4 months with potential conversion to full-time based on performance. A high school diploma is required; medical assistant training is a plus.

No prior work experience is required. This is a hands-on lab support role with PPE and safety responsibilities. The candidate will handle specimen processing, routine instrument upkeep, QA/QC, and data recording while

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant training helpful.
Math and science courses preferred.
Must establish work priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Sorting and receiving specimens.
Performs routine instrument maintenance.
Preparing reagents and media in the department.
Preparing specimens at workstations for testing (building worklists, aliquoting, checking clots).
Performs QA/QC duties as assigned.
Finds missing samples and decontaminates work areas.
Follows PPE requirements and safety regulations; uses laboratory computer systems.
Disposes of biohazardous material; completes training and competency checklists.
