Job summary

Labcorp in Dublin, OH seeks a Lab Assistant to support specimen handling in a fast-paced clinical lab. You will receive and sort specimens, prepare samples for testing, and help maintain equipment and safety standards overnight.

This entry-level position requires a high school diploma and offers a Tuesday–Saturday 12:00am–8:30am schedule with overtime possibilities and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
• Scan and data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.
