Job summary

You will perform phlebotomy, prepare specimens for testing, maintain equipment, and ensure accurate LIS data entry while upholding quality control and safety protocols throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Completion of a laboratory assistant training or phlebotomy program required.
• 1–2 years experience in a laboratory, healthcare, or clinical setting required.
• Phlebotomy experience including finger sticks and venipunctures.
• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with specimen processing and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist laboratory staff in performing routine tests following proper protocols.
• Prepare, label, store, and transport specimens per procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
• Perform phlebotomy on patients of all ages per policy.
• Log procedures and specimen data into LIS accurately.
• Stock supplies and maintain inventory.
