Job summary

The National in Oklahoma City is hiring for an Overnight Steward / Cleaner. The role focuses on keeping kitchens and back-of-house areas clean and organized, with duties including overnight cleaning and ensuring readiness for the morning team. You will support the Stewarding team and follow safety and sanitation procedures.

Experience in stewarding or hospitality is valued, and the role requires independent work during night shifts with attention to detail and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous stewarding, kitchen, janitorial, housekeeping, or utility experience preferred.
• Previous hotel, restaurant, resort, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Ability to work with industrial cleaning supplies and equipment safely and according to procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchens, dish areas, equipment, and back-of-house spaces clean, organized, and ready for the next day’s operation.
• Complete overnight cleaning duties independently and ensure the kitchen is fully prepared before the morning team arrives.
• Support the Stewarding team with dish area closing operations and step in when extra help is needed.
• Clean and sanitize floors, drains, sinks, cutting boards, refrigeration units, stainless steel surfaces, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or other problem areas to the Manager on Duty.
