Job summary

SMG System Medical Group seeks an Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) to provide inpatient pulmonary care, coordinating with the medical team. The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, daily rounds, and discharge planning, with education of residents and students.

The position is inpatient with 7pm–7am shifts, no on-call requirement, and involves collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to ensure evidence-based care and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in nursing for NP with state license and certification.
• Certification as NP or PA required; NP: national certification by recognized center; PA: NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage pulmonary inpatients with comprehensive plan of care.
• Complete daily rounds and pre-procedure evaluations as applicable.
• Coordinate discharge planning and outpatient follow-up.
• Collaborate with pulmonary faculty and other team members to develop care plans.
