Job summary

Silgan Containers is seeking a manufacturing associate to ensure product safety and quality, start up and operate injection molding machinery, and prepare production paperwork. You will monitor machines, verify parts are boxed and counted, and pull shots for quality checks as needed.

The role requires identifying nonconformities, informing QA, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace while documenting performance and outcomes for shift handoffs and shipments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production paperwork for machine start-up and operation.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure parts are collected into storage boxes and are counted correctly.
• Pull shots for quality checks following machine re-starts or as needed.
• Identify nonconformities and inform the Shift QA.
• Evaluate product to ensure high quality and conformance with established standards.
• Report any food safety and quality problems or concerns.
• Evaluate and document machine performance.
• Tape boxes shut, label the boxes, and stack for shipment.
• Prepare paperwork at the end of the shift for the following shift, noting any problems or exceptions occurred.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area.
• Perform sweeping, cleaning, sorting duties as necessary.
