LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Immunohematology Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our accredited Immunohematology Reference Lab. The role supports critical patient care through expert testing and collaboration with clinical teams.

You will resolve complex compatibility issues, ensure safe transfusion practices, and deliver excellent customer service with no on-call requirements. A night shift with a rotation and ongoing professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• MT/CLS/MLS national certification including immunohematology
• Bachelor’s degree in clinical lab science
• Familiarity with blood banking

Responsibilities

• Work in a full-service, accredited Immunohematology Reference Laboratory
• Resolve complex immunohematology and compatibility issues to ensure the safest blood for patients
• Deliver excellent customer service with no on-call requirements
