Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Jacksonville, FL seeks an Immunohematology Medical Laboratory Scientist to join a full-service immunohematology reference lab on the third shift. You will resolve complex compatibility issues, deliver excellent customer service, and support lifesaving patient care while maintaining high accuracy and compliance.

Relocation bonus available and shift differential for eligible evening and overnight hours.

Qualifications

• National certification as MT/CLS/MLS with ASCP, AAB or AMT, including immunohematology.
• Valid Technologist license issued by the state of Florida.
• Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory, Chemical, or Biological Science.
• Familiarity with blood banking.
• Preferred: SBB(ASCP) or BB(ASCP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a full-service, accredited Immunohematology Reference Laboratory.
• Resolve complex immunohematology and compatibility issues to ensure the safest blood for patients.
• Deliver excellent customer service with no on-call requirements.
