Job summary

You will provide routine and complex nursing care, administer medications per protocol, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families. Required are BLS, RN license (state or compact), and ACLS within designated timeframes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Experience: 1 year in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• RN License in state of employment or compact.
• Current ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychosocial needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments using protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers.
