Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking an experienced RN for per diem shifts in Mount Pleasant, TX, working 7AM–7PM. The role emphasizes independent nursing care, adherence to nursing process, and handling complex patient needs with appropriate delegation.

Required: RN license, BLS, ACLS, and a BSN preferred. New hires undergo orientation within 30 days and ongoing competency validations. Prior critical care experience is preferred, but new graduates are considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience: 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and families.
